The membrane switch structure is divided into five structural layers: panel layer, surface adhesive layer, upper circuit, interlayer (isolation layer), lower circuit and back glue. The panel layer is generally made of high-toughness PET or PC transparent and colorless sheet with a thickness of less than 0.25mm, printed with patterns and text, and its main function is to play the role of identification and keys; the surface glue is generally 0.05---0.15mm thick Strong double-sided adhesive, which closely adheres the panel and the upper circuit; both the upper circuit and the lower circuit are made of 0.125mm thick (in some cases 0.075 and 0.1mm thickness) polyester film (PET) with excellent toughness, silk screen conductive silver Paste and conductive carbon paste. Drying and aging make it conductive. For circuit outlets with a spacing of less than 1mm, the gold finger connection socket can easily pierce the silver paste and cause defects. It is recommended that the circuit as a whole adopts FPC with strong wear resistance. Eliminate defects; the interlayer is to insulate and bond between the upper circuit and the lower circuit. Generally, a double-sided tape with a thickness of 0.1-0.25mm with a PET substrate is used; the bottom layer of the adhesive must be considered first. Choose the strong double-sided adhesive that can adhere closely to the adhesive surface for which material to paste. Membrane switches are a whole. All materials are selected to consider the overall sealing, waterproof, insulation and aging resistance. For outdoor membrane switches, wind and rain, changes in temperature between winter and summer, and strong ultraviolet rays from the sun must also be considered.
Engineers must comprehensively consider the overall design of membrane switches, taking into account both scientific and technological properties, so that the products produced are stable, reliable, economical and practical.
Most of the printing of membrane switches is done through silk screen printing. The early stage of silk screen printing is to expose the plate. Before printing, use a film control sample to determine whether the film is correct and whether it is damaged. Check whether the screen is cleaned and whether it is dirty or damaged. For small holes, in general, the circuit uses a 100T screen, and the panel uses a 120T screen (140T or 160T screen is used for particularly fine ones). Then check the sample to determine whether the film is exposed or reversed (special attention should be paid to the circuit, the lower circuit, insulating oil, and jumper wires are exposed to the sun, the upper circuit is reversed, and the shielding layer is exposed to the front of the upper circuit).
The deployment of ink is an important task in the screen printing process, which is directly related to the appearance quality of the membrane switch. The color master must master the color knowledge and the ink mixing process, so that the matched ink has bright colors, good brightness and accurate hue.
